On site!
A quick post to show we made it to Vindolanda! Now wandering the fort before Vindolanda Friends evening. A shot of a hypocaust system in one of the rooms of the praetorium (commanding officer's residence):
You made it! From your prior posts it sounds as if your son did come along...hope that is true. Make sure he gets some sticky toffee pudding someplace!
He did come, and now that our first day is behind us I can say he's very glad he did! I'm sure we'll be visiting a local purveyor of pudding before the week is out, he remembers it from our visit last year.
